The Eye Site is now collaborating with Urgent Eyecare to provide after-hours professional care for eye emergencies such as flashes and floaters, corneal abrasions, infections, styes, trauma-related injuries, and much more. Getting the proper treatment for an eye-related medical issue at emergency rooms and urgent cares can be challenging as they may not have the proper equipment and staff to examine, diagnose, and treat eye emergencies. This partnership allows our doctors to provide urgent care to even more patients throughout Northeast Ohio.

Dr. Jennifer Hazelwood
Dr. Jennifer Hazelwood is the owner and founder of The Eye Site. She is originally from Akron, a graduate of Firestone High School and Ohio University. She received her doctorate from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts in 2000. After graduating from N.E.C.O., she joined the faculty of her alma mater as a clinical professor and director of eye service at the South Boston Community Health Center. Dr. Hazelwood also served as a staff optometrist at Gillette Company and had her own small private practice while living in Boston until her return to Ohio in the fall of 2008.
